The secret life of spider mites, I never knew they could hitchhike on my clothes from the nursery

I mean, I found out last month after bringing home a new fern from a garden center in Cleveland that those tiny specks were actually mites that had been on my jacket sleeve for two days, and now I strip down in the garage before going inside, has anyone else dealt with that?

Did you try washing everything the second you walk in? I had the same thing with a peace lily two summers ago and woke up with these weird little bites on my arms. Turns out they were all over my hoodie lining. I now keep a spray bottle of neem oil and water by the back door and mist everything down before I even step foot inside. It's a whole ritual now but beats fighting those tiny bastards for months.
