My pothos grew 4 feet up the wall in 5 weeks, and all I changed was moving it 8 inches closer to the window

I always figured pothos was a low light plant and my north facing living room in Minneapolis proved it, so when I slid the shelf 8 inches toward the glass last month the vine shot up past my head and has anyone else seen that kind of jump from such a small move?
