My aunt told me to talk to my dying orchid... she was right
Last spring my orchid was dropping all its flowers and looking rough. My aunt Janice, who has like 50 plants in her living room, told me to sit down and talk to it every day for 5 minutes. I felt stupid doing it but after two weeks it grew two new flower spikes. The plant perked up way more than any fertilizer I tried. Has anyone else had a plant respond to talking or music?

Used to think plant talk was total nonsense until my snake plant was dying and I started reading out loud to it. That thing bounced back in a month.

@wyatt513 totally get where you're coming from. Had a spider plant that was all brown and crispy, started giving it a little pep talk every morning while I watered it. Not full conversations just "hey, you're doing great, keep it up" kinda stuff. That thing went from three sad leaves to a full bushy plant in about six weeks. Maybe it's the vibration or the CO2 from breathing near it, who knows. But I believe your snake plant story. Have you tried playing music for it too or just reading?
