Just realized my peace lily was dying because of my air purifier

Had this peace lily for about 6 months and it started drooping and getting brown tips no matter what I did. Moved it around the house, changed watering schedules, all that. Finally noticed the brown tips were only on the side facing my air purifier. Turns out the constant airflow was drying it out way too fast. I moved it to a corner with no drafts and it perked right up in 3 days. Anyone else had a houseplant get wrecked by something dumb like an AC vent or fan?

Oh man, I killed a whole fern that way once! Had it sitting right by a drafty window with a radiator underneath, and the dry heat just turned it into a crispy mess. I finally wised up and moved it to the bathroom where the shower steam keeps it happy. Now it's taking over the whole counter, guess it forgave me.

That bit about the bathroom and shower steam just clicked for me... I always thought ferns were just picky and hard to please. Guess I was the one being stubborn about where to put them.
