Had to pick between a greenhouse and a cold frame for my backyard last spring.
I went with the cold frame since it was only $80 and I wanted to test if I could even keep things alive through winter. It worked fine for lettuce and kale, but now I'm wishing I had the space a greenhouse gives you for tomatoes. Anyone else start small and regret not going bigger?

Went through the exact same thing last year. Got a cold frame for cheap and it worked great for greens, but I spent all summer staring at it wishing I had room for peppers and tomatoes. Finally broke down and built a 6x8 greenhouse this spring, should have just done that from the start.
