Took me 6 trips and a notebook to finally catch the window display at that place near Duluth
There's an indie shop off Highway 61 near Duluth that I drive past on my route, and every time I went by the window had something different. I started keeping a little notebook in the truck to jot down what I saw, and it took 6 trips over about 2 months before I finally walked in and asked the owner how often she swaps it out. She told me every 10 days, which explained why I kept missing the good ones. I thought I was going crazy or just hitting bad timing, but nope, she's just real consistent about it. The one I finally caught was a whole forest scene made out of those little free library boxes. Now I plan my stops around her schedule, which is maybe a little sad but whatever. Does anyone else track a specific shop's window like this or am I the only one?
Six trips for a window display seems like a lot of gas money for some wooden boxes shaped like libraries. Half the fun of those shops is not knowing what you'll get, so planning around a 10 day swap kinda takes the surprise out of it. But hey, if the forest scene was worth it to you, that's your call.
