Thought a window display needed 40 books to look full, then saw the shop on Pearl Street do it with 12
I've been judging indie shop windows by how packed they are for years, but the one in Boulder with just a dozen titles and a big empty gap in the middle stopped me cold. Turns out the empty space made me actually read the covers, so now I'm trying to figure out if less is really more or if that shop just got lucky with the light.
