Spent 45 minutes staring at a window display in Portland trying to figure out why one book was wrapped in tin foil
Walked past Powell's on Hawthorne last Saturday and spotted a little display with a single paperback covered in kitchen foil. I stood there for 45 minutes trying to decode it, even asked two employees who just shrugged. Turns out it was a staff joke about a sci-fi novel where the characters wrap their heads in foil. Anyone else ever waste almost an hour on a bookstore window mystery?
