Rant: the bookseller in Providence said my window was too clever and nobody could read the titles
She pointed at my 6-book stack with the covers facing sideways and said folks walking by just see a pile of paper, not books. So now I put at least 3 covers face out, and my foot traffic comments went from zero to a few a week, but how do you balance clever and readable?
