Paid $15 for a font at a shop in Denver and its window display sold 40 copies in a weekend
I run a small bookstore in Denver and our window setup used to be whatever I could tape up with plain printer paper. Last month I dropped $15 on a real hand lettering font and printed a sign for our staff picks table. Three people came in that same Saturday asking about the book in the window, and we moved 40 copies by Sunday night. Before that we were lucky to sell maybe 8 of a staff pick in a week. Now I'm wondering if I should just redo the whole front glass with this font, or if a chalkboard would pull people in even better. Has anyone here tried switching to hand lettered signs and seen a jump like this?
