Wasted $40 on that "unbreakable" reading lamp from the campus bookstore back in '09
That thing snapped at the neck after three months of dorm life, cheaper to just buy two of the $8 clip-ons from Walmart. Anyone else get suckered into paying extra for stuff that claimed to be tough?

That "unbreakable" claim got me too, my headphones fell apart in a week.

Unbreakable" is basically a dare to the universe at this point. My last pair of "rugged" earbuds lasted exactly one trip to the gym before one side went quiet. You'd think companies would learn to just say "pretty tough" instead of throwing around words that invite bad luck. What was the breaking point on yours, the hinges or the cable?
