Ha, that's exactly how my first attempt at Dune went too! I had to force myself past that first part and then suddenly it clicked and I couldn't put it down. Funny how some books just need that extra push before they grab you.

Yeah that's the classic Dune struggle, right? It's like the book has a 200 page tutorial before the actual game starts. I swear half the people who say they love Dune are just lying about finishing it.
