Found out 1 in 4 people quit 'Infinite Jest' before page 50

Saw a survey from a reading blog that said about 25% of people give up on that book almost immediately. I was one of them - got to page 35 and realized I had no idea what was happening. Anyone else bail on that one quick?

My buddy Tom made it 12 pages before throwing the book across his dorm room.

Honestly @the_john, maybe Tom just can't handle real literature.
