Reread The Road at 3 a.m. last Tuesday and the silence after the last page hit different

I mean, I picked it up again after 10 years and that one scene with the canned peaches and the tarp made me sit in my kitchen in the dark for 20 minutes just staring at my coffee mug, has anyone else had a book smack them harder the second time because of where they are in life now?
