Read 100 pages of a book about grief in one night and had to call my brother at 2am
Ngl I picked up this book at a garage sale in Akron for a buck thinking it was just some sad novel, but around page 100 I was sitting on my kitchen floor because the main character's dad dies the same way mine did, quiet, in a hospital in Cleveland. I called my brother at 2am and we ended up talking for an hour about stuff we never say out loud, and it was the best talk we've had in a decade. Has a book ever made you reach out to someone you don't usually call?
