Old school vs. modern: do you still hand-sew headbands or use pre-made ones?

Actually pre-made headbands have been around longer than most people realize. Hand-sewing them is the newer method that became popular with craft book traditions.

Funny enough, I just watched a video from a book historian talking about how pre-made headbands were actually the standard for centuries in commercial bookbinding. It was the DIY craft movement that pushed hand-sewn ones as more authentic. @rowanjenkins has a good point that hand-sewing isn't actually the traditional method people assume it is.
