Just found out my thread is 30 years older than I thought

I was sorting through a box of old tools my grandpa gave me, and I found a spool of thread with no label. I took it to a local bookbinding shop (shoutout to Bindery Arts in Portland) and the owner dated it to the 1960s based on the twist and wax content. I figured it was maybe from the 90s, so that was a surprise. It still feels strong, not brittle at all. Has anyone else tested really old thread on a project? I'm thinking of using it for a journal, but worried it might snap.

My grandpa gave me a spool of 1940s linen thread from his navy days and I used it to bind a sketchbook last year... held up perfectly, no snapping at all.

That's really cool it held up, glad you had good luck with it.
