Hit 200 perfect spines this month and I still can't believe it

I've been binding for about two years now and somehow managed to get 200 books with flawless spines in the last 30 days. Has anyone else kept track of their numbers like that and been surprised by the count?

Does your count include the stuff you did for other people or just your own personal projects? I bet a lot of folks forget to track the books they bind as gifts or trades. I started keeping a simple tally in a notebook last year and was floored when I hit 150. It's easy to lose track when you're in the zone and cranking out spines one after another. The real surprise for me was seeing how many I'd done on impulse without even realizing it.

Yeah exactly, I had the same blind spot. I was only counting personal projects for years and thought I was maybe around 80-90 total. Then I started a spreadsheet just to track every single one, including gifts and trades. Found out I'd done 23 for a friend's wedding favors alone, plus another 15 for a book swap event that I totally forgot about. That pushed me past 130 easy. The notebook thing is smart, I just use a notes app on my phone now and jot down title, recipient, and date right when I finish a book. It's wild how those impulse binds add up without you noticing.
