Saw a guy at a yard sale in Boise sell a box of 40 paperbacks for $5, and I can't decide if that's a steal or a crime

That "steal or a crime" line is exactly how I felt when I found a whole tote of old westerns for $8 at a flea market outside Twin Falls. I stood there for ten minutes doing the math in my head like some kind of book accountant. Ended up grabbing them and it was the best $8 I ever spent, read most of them over one winter. The way I see it, if the seller is happy and you're happy, nobody got robbed. Paperbacks are meant to be passed around anyway, that's half the point of them.
