My book pile collapsed at the library sale last week

I was at the annual library sale in Austin and stacked about 20 books too high. The whole tower went down like dominoes and an old lady gave me the stink eye. Does anyone else get carried away when they see a dollar price tag?

Did you ever think maybe the old lady wasn't mad about the noise but about you grabbing all the good books before she could get to them? I swear those library sales bring out some serious competitive energy in people who look totally harmless. I've definitely hidden a few finds under my jacket before.
