Drove to 6 thrift stores in one day looking for a $4 paperback, learned a hard lesson about book hauls
Thought I could grab a cheap copy of a Vonnegut I wanted by hitting every Goodwill and estate sale between Dayton and Columbus, but it took me 9 hours and 140 miles to finally find one that wasn't water damaged or written in. Now I just check the library sale cart first before making a whole road trip out of it. Anybody got a store or sale in the Midwest that actually keeps decent used paperbacks in stock?
