Our club spent a whole month arguing over the ending of 'The Giver'
We read it for our June pick, and the debate started simple: was the ending hopeful or bleak? That spiraled into a huge fight about symbolism and author intent. It took three full meetings, plus a ton of texts, before we finally agreed to just disagree. Has your club ever gotten stuck on a single book detail for weeks?

My old group spent two meetings just on the sled in that book. We never did settle if it was real or a dream. That kind of debate is why I joined a book club, even when it gets heated. It shows people really care about the story.

Ugh, that sounds exhausting. My group nearly came to blows over a single paragraph in "Beloved" last year.
