Our book club hit 50 meetings last Tuesday and I counted the list, only 7 people made it to 40 or more
We started this thing in a garage in Sacramento back in 2019 with 5 of us and a copy of The Overstory. I looked at the sign in sheet after meeting 50 last Tuesday at Rita's place and did the math, out of 23 total people who ever showed up, only 7 of us made 40 meetings or more. The weird part is the 3 who came exactly twice, both times when we read something short, and never came back. It made me wonder if the long books are what scare people off or if it's just life getting in the way. Rita says it's the snacks, she thinks people come for the crackers. What number feels like a real club to you, is it the meetings or the people who keep showing up?
