Mid-book character death, should clubs put spoiler warnings in the schedule?
Our group got to chapter 22 of a thriller last month and one member blurted out who dies before half of us had finished. Took us 40 minutes of arguing to decide if reading ahead should be required or banned. Do your clubs police spoilers or just accept the chaos?

Our book club hit this exact issue with a mystery series a while back. We settled on putting a tiny spoiler tag in the group chat, like "heads up, big death around page 300" instead of the full schedule. That way people who wanted to read ahead could, and the slow readers just skipped that message until they caught up. Took one heated meeting to figure it out but now nobody argues about it.
