Dropped $40 on that fancy book light everyone raves about. Total garbage.

Bought the Luminoodle clip light for our book club meeting. Thought it would help me read in bed without waking my wife. Battery died after 45 minutes on the first night. The clip broke off the second time I used it. Anyone else get burned by those amazon "top rated" reading lights?

Funny thing about those cheap clip lights is they usually have a fatal design flaw nobody talks about. The plastic hinge they use for the clip is the same kind you'd find on a cheap binder. Mine cracked after three nights but the light itself still worked fine. Superglued it to my headboard and now it works better than any clip ever did. Had to buy a USB extension cord since the battery is shot, but at least I don't have to mess with another stupid clip.

Glued mine to my nightstand too but forgot to unplug it first and tripped over the cord.
