Bought the $12 used paperback of Bel Canto instead of the $3 ebook and now I get why our club argues about this
We fought for like 45 minutes at book club last Tuesday about whether buying the ebook for $3 counts as really reading the book, and I was on the ebook side the whole time. Then I found a beat up paperback of Bel Canto at a garage sale in Dayton for $12 and read it that way just to test myself. Tbh I remembered way more of it at the next meeting and I actually understood why people dog ear pages and scribble in the margins. Now I'm wondering if I was just wrong the whole time, does your club care how people read the book or only that they read it?
