Am I the only one who got into a full-blown argument over the ending of 'The Silent Patient' at my book club last week?
We were at my friend's place in Austin, and when I said the twist felt cheap and unearned, Sarah literally threw her copy across the room and said, 'You just don't get unreliable narrators,' which led to a 20-minute debate about fair play in mysteries.

Yeah, we had to ban wine for a month after our fight about "The Woman in the Window." Karen said the main character was just annoying, not traumatized, and it got way too personal.
