The shift where everything that could go sideways did

Last Thursday on a big tank job in Gary, Indiana, we had one of those days that makes you question your life choices. The torch wouldn't light for 20 minutes because someone left the tip soaked in rain overnight, then the crane operator parked in the wrong spot and we had to re-rig a 600 pound plate twice. My helper knocked over the chalk line bucket onto the fresh layout, and the foreman just stood there laughing saying 'at least it's not Friday yet'. By noon we were 3 hours behind schedule and the site superintendent wanted a meeting about our 'process' which was really about him being yelled at by the client. We finally got the piece set, but then realized the bolt holes were off by half an inch because the fab shop used an old template. I spent the next hour with a die grinder opening them up while my arms felt like noodles, and my ears were ringing so bad I could hear my own heartbeat. Anybody else have a shift where the universe just piles on and you can't do anything but laugh? What's your worst 'one thing after another' day on site?
