Shoutout to my foreman for catching a weld flaw early
We were finishing up a boiler install at a plant. During the last walkthrough, my foreman saw a small issue in a seam weld. He had me grind it out and redo it right then. That extra hour of work probably stopped a shutdown later. It was a good reminder to never rush the final checks. What's your best story about a last-minute fix that paid off? I'm always looking for ways to improve my inspection routine.

How did your foreman spot that flaw so late in the job? Those final checks can be easy to rush when you're tired. Knowing what tipped him off could help others tighten up their own walkthroughs.

Honestly it's wild how often the last look catches stuff. My cousin's crew almost left a whole box of tile spacers inside a wall once, someone just saw a corner poking out while grabbing their coat.

Reminds me of a buddy who almost signed off on a wiring job without catching a crossed line. He was packing up his tools and just happened to glance back at the panel from a different angle. Saw the colors were off by one slot, would've been a nightmare to debug later. Funny how sometimes you need to physically step away to see things clear.
