Old timer told me to skip the flap disc on rusty plate, he was right
Been cleaning up a 3/8 plate from a tank job in Gary and was burning through discs fast. A retiree on the crew said to use a wire wheel first then come back with the flap, cut my time on the last panel by half. Anyone else run into jobs where the old school way just beats the modern shortcut?

Honestly that old timer never ran a real production schedule where wire wheels eat rust slower than time.
