Worked a shutdown in Gary three years back with a welder who ran stick bare handed and swore by it. Last week my helper came back from lunch with a new burn and I showed him the old trick of keeping a spare pair clipped to the machine, mostly so he stops bugging me. How do you get the young guys to actually keep their gear on instead of leaving it in the gang box?
