Turned on my phone's burst mode at a Little League game in Toledo and got 8 keepers out of 40 shots
I used to come home from my kid's games with nothing but blur, so last Saturday I just held the shutter down during every swing and ended up with 8 clear shots out of 40, which beat my usual zero, and now I'm wondering if anyone here shoots sports and has a better trick than spray and pray.
Shooting in burst mode helped me too but the real trick is locking focus on the batter before the pitch even comes. Hold the button halfway on the spot where the swing happens, then let it rip when the bat moves. My keep rate went way up once I stopped letting the camera hunt for focus during the swing.
