Spotted the difference in my bird photos after just 3 weeks of using a tripod

I went back to look at shots from last March and compared them to what I took yesterday, same spot at the lake. The old ones have this slight ghosting on the wing tips that I always thought was motion blur, but it was actually me breathing while holding the camera. Has anyone else noticed their steady hand isn't as steady as they thought?

@shane_perry29 it's wild how much we can trick ourselves, isn't it? I was the same way for years, blamed everything on cheap lenses or bad light. Then a friend let me borrow a proper carbon fiber tripod for a weekend and it was like putting on glasses for the first time. The crispness on the feathers alone made me feel silly for all those times I insisted I could just brace my elbows on my knees. Breathing really is the thief of sharpness, especially with longer focal lengths.

Wait, you mean my breathing is messing up my shots too? That honestly never crossed my mind before.
