Had to choose between a tripod and a monopod for a night shoot downtown
I was shooting some street scenes after dark near the fountain at Pioneer Square and couldn't decide what to bring. Ended up going with the monopod because I figured I'd be moving around a lot between buskers and lit up windows. Honestly it was a good call, got some sharp shots at 1/30 shutter speed and my arms didn't get tired lugging the big tripod around. Has anyone else found monopods work better for quick setups in crowded spots?
