Finally fixed my blurry pet photos after 4 months of struggle

I kept getting these shaky shots of my cat jumping off the couch. Tried raising the ISO but they looked grainy. After 4 months of guessing, I looked up the right shutter speed for moving pets. Turns out I needed 1/500th of a second minimum. Anyone else waste forever on the wrong setting for action shots?

Wait, doesn't raising the ISO just add more grain to the same problem though?

@smith.anna totally nailed it with that laundry thing, same energy here for sure. For me it was bird photography, kept getting blurry shots of hummingbirds at the feeder. Thought I needed a fancier lens but nope, just bumped my shutter to 1/1000th and suddenly they were crisp. Sometimes the simplest fix is the one you overlook while chasing the complicated answer.

Oh man, that's such a classic thing though... we overthink everything when the answer is usually way simpler than we make it. It's like when I spent months trying different laundry detergent combos before realizing I just needed to sort my clothes better.
