Skeptical about using a treadle hammer for fine work, now I get it

I spent 5 years on a power hammer and thought treadle hammers were just for old-timey demos or people who liked foot cramps. Last month I picked up a used one at a swap meet near Dayton for $80 because the frame was solid, figured I'd resell it. Turns out the control you get for leaf work and small tenons is unreal, you can feel every hit land. I still use the power hammer for heavy drawing, but now I'm wondering if anyone else switched back to foot power for the delicate stuff or am I just late to the party?
