Reached 500 hours on my anvil and it hit me different

I've been keeping a log book since I started forging 3 years ago. Last night I added up my hammer time and hit exactly 500 hours. What got me is that I still feel like a beginner on some things like scroll work. But looking back at my first fire poker vs what I made last week, the difference is huge. Anyone else track their shop hours and get surprised by the gaps in your own skills?

Man I logged 400 hours on my chainsaw once and still couldn't start it right half the time!

Think I need to up my game. I just bought new spark plugs and carburetor cleaner and my saw still acts like it has a mind of its own.
