Old timer at the county fair demo threw my hammer aside
I was set up at the Lane County fair last August doing basic leaf hooks, and this guy in his 70s walks over, grabs my cross peen without asking, and says "this thing weighs wrong for your arm, kid." He then spent 20 minutes showing me how he balances his own hammers with a worn handle and a lead wedge, and handed it back like he'd done me a favor. Do you let strangers gut-check your tools at demos, or was that just rude?
