My anvil stand bolts sheared off mid-project on Tuesday

I was flattening a 1/2 inch bar for a gate hinge and the whole stand shifted when I hit it. Turned out I used grade 2 bolts instead of grade 5, they just snapped clean after 4 months of daily work. Had to weld a new plate on the stand and drill fresh holes, took 3 hours to fix. Anyone else ever cheap out on fasteners and regret it mid-swing?
