Drove 4 hours for a scrap yard anvil, ended up using my Harbor Freight one anyway

Found a beat up 150 lb anvil on Craigslist near Scranton for $200. Drove out there with a buddy, checked the rebound, figured it was worth it. Got it home and realized the face was actually worse than the photos showed, tons of chips near the edges. After a week of fighting with it, I grabbed my old 55 lb cast iron one and got more work done. Has anyone else wasted time on a fancy score just to go back to what you already had?
