That ending where the hero just walks into the ocean, I spent 3 days trying to figure it out
Read this novel last month where the main character solves the whole mystery and then just strolls into the sea like it's a normal Tuesday, no explanation at all. Took me 72 hours and three separate Google deep dives to learn it was a metaphor for the author's fear of swimming pools, has anyone else wasted a whole weekend on a puzzling finale like that?
