That ending at my Denver book club made me stop trusting the 5-star reviews
Last month at our Denver book club, we hit the last page of a novel everyone online called a masterpiece, and the whole room just sat there because the ending turned out to be a dream the dog had. I felt like such a fool for pushing that book on 6 friends based on 4.8 stars and a thousand glowing posts. So now I read the last 2 pages first, and I'm wondering if that ruins the book for you or saves your time like it did for me?
