That book where the final chapter is just a recipe for something that doesn't exist
I grabbed this obscure novel at a thrift store in Akron for 50 cents and the whole story was this long fantasy epic. Then the last 10 pages are just a detailed recipe for "phoenix egg stew" with ingredients like starlight and dragon scale dust. I was so mad at first but now I think it was a weird commentary on storytelling or something. Has anyone else run into a book that just completely abandons the plot at the end for no reason?

Could be the author just ran out of ideas and threw in something weird to hit page count. Are you sure it wasn't a joke or a printing error?
