I read the last page of two library thrillers first, and only one made me want to start over
I always peek at the ending before I commit to a slow mystery, and last Tuesday at the Cleveland library I did it with two paperbacks I grabbed off the return cart. The first one ended mid-sentence on a blank page, which felt like the author just gave up, but the second one looped back to a diner receipt from chapter one with a name scribbled on it. Anyone else flip to the back and get totally tricked by a weird last line?
