Heads up on that horror novel 'The Rust Maidens' - the ending is like a fever dream

I read it last night and the last 20 pages felt like the author just gave up and started typing whatever popped into their head. Did anyone else finish that book and feel like they missed a chapter or something?

Right? I finished it last night too and had to flip back a few pages thinking I missed something. The whole thing with Phoebe just sort of dissolving into that weird rusty water felt so random. Like the editor just said "wrap it up" and the writer went with the first weird thing that came to mind.
