Tried a $35 clipper vs my $200 one and honestly it was humbling
I finally grabbed that cheap Wahl Magic Clip from the beauty supply on Grand Ave last week just to see what the hype was about. My usual Babyliss is smooth but that $35 clipper cut through a thick 2 guard blend way cleaner with zero snagging. I mean, is there really a point spending big money when a budget tool outperforms it on bulk hair?

Spent $200 on my Babyliss last year and now I'm side-eyeing it like it owes me money. That Magic Wahl cut through my nephew's thick 4 guard like butter while my expensive one was pulling and snagging like crazy. Kept the cheap one in my bag as a backup now it's my main driver. Guess my $200 lesson was just a really expensive receipt.

Heard the exact same thing from my barber last month. He's been cutting hair for 15 years and still uses his old Wahl Seniors over the new cordless stuff. Makes you wonder if these companies are just slapping fancy names on overpriced junk now. What exactly was the snagging problem? Was it pulling at the blade or getting stuck in the comb?
