Threw away $60 on a cheap clipper blade sharpening kit

Bought one of those handheld sharpening stones from Amazon and tried it on my Wahl blades. Ended up ruining 3 blades in about 20 minutes cause the angle was impossible to get right. Anyone else tried those and just had a bad time?

Yeah those kits are a trap. The angle on Wahl blades is super shallow like 15 degrees or something and those little plastic guides don't hold steady at all. I got the same $60 kit and trashed a #2 blade in seconds. What worked for me was just sending them to a pro sharpener for like $8 each and calling it a day. Way cheaper than replacing blades every time you mess up.
