Thought those $200 clippers were overhyped till I used them on a 2-hour straight day
Bought a pair of Wahl Seniors last month after my Magic Clips finally gave out. Everyone on here swore by them but I was like nah its just the hype. First job I did with em was a full head of thick curly hair on a dude named Marcus in my chair for like 2 hours straight. Zero heat, zero drag, still sharp as hell the next day. My old clippers wouldve died halfway through. Anyone else get humbled by a tool they thought was overpriced?

...and honestly this applies to everything now not just clippers. I bought a mid range coffee grinder last year, thought I was being smart saving money. Took me three months to realize my cheap one was burning the beans and making everything taste like ash. The good one paid for itself in like two weeks of better morning coffee. Same with my kitchen knives actually. Used to think spending more than 20 bucks on a chef knife was insane, then I got one that actually stays sharp and I eat vegetables now (not kidding). There's this sweet spot where paying more just unlocks a whole different experience and the cheap stuff was actually costing you in frustration and time.

Yeah the Wahl Seniors just work different. First time I used mine I couldnt believe how much smoother it cut through thick wet hair. Made my old clippers feel like toys.

Youre absolutely right. The Wahl Seniors just annihilate through thick wet hair without any pulling or snagging. It's like night and day comparing them to cheaper clippers. Once you go Senior you really cant go back. I nearly sold my old set after the first pass. The motor in those things is a total beast.
