Rant: A $9 comb took me 3 months to find

I kept fighting with flyaway hair on my fade clients, switching between three different clippers and thinking my blade gaps were off. Turns out my old plastic combs were holding static and pushing the hair flat before I even touched it. A barber in Portland mentioned his carbon combs during a seminar, and I ordered one online for $9. The difference was night and day on my next cut, no more redoing the crown twice. It took me 12 weeks and about 40 frustrated customers to figure out the tool, not my technique. Anyone else spent way too long chasing a problem that had a cheap fix hiding in plain sight?
