One Saturday rush in Austin nearly broke my clippers and my spirit

Tbh last Saturday was a wild one here in Austin. I had 14 cuts booked back to back with zero gaps, and by noon my clippers were overheating bad, I had to switch blades mid-client twice. Worst part was a guy wanting a skin fade who showed up 20 minutes late, then complained when I rushed the lineup because the next appointment was already sitting there. I ended up skipping my lunch break and my hands were shaking by 5pm, but I still made $480 that day. Has anyone else had a single busy day that made them question their whole schedule setup?

I get that it was rough, but every busy day in any trade is gonna be chaotic if you book yourself wall to wall with no breaks. That's not a scheduling flaw, that's just what happens when you pack the calendar that tight. I mean, the clippers overheating thing is pretty normal when you're running them constantly, that's why spare blades exist. Honestly it sounds like you got paid well for a long day of work, which is kind of the whole point. Maybe just build in a 15 minute buffer between cuts next time and call it a win.
